Our Three C’s programme
Many riders unknowingly carry long-term tension patterns, protective posture habits and muscle bracing caused by stress, injuries, confidence issues or everyday life. These patterns can contribute to pain, stiffness, imbalance and reduced freedom in the saddle — often affecting both rider and horse.
As the rider’s body becomes softer, more balanced and less reactive, and the mind is calm and focused, horses can respond with greater relaxation, focus and willingness.
This 8 weeks programme is designed to support your individual needs, goals and circumstances. Everything is tailored to you personally to release tension and stress, adress your pain effectively, help you improve mobility and balance and resolve any mental blockages you may experience.
This is for you if you appreciate personal, tailored support based on your goals and needs.
We start this programme with a questionaire about your situation and goals to get a holistic starting point and be able to tailor everything to your individual personality, circumstances and needs.
This programme helps you create the foundation in your body and mind for softer, safer and more connected riding and horsemanship.
Comfort
Feel more comfortable in your body through improved body awareness, reduced tension, better breathing, mobility and nervous system regulation.
Confidence
Build calm confidence, trust in yourself and overcome fear, anxiety, overthinking and limiting beliefs that may be affecting your riding.
Connection
Develop a deeper connection with yourself and your horse through mindfulness, presence, emotional awareness and understanding how horses respond to human energy and behaviour.
During this programme you will:
• Learn how your nervous system influences posture, movement, breathing and muscle tension, and how this can affect your horse's relaxation, responsiveness and performance. Learn about co-regulation, herd mentality and horses stress responses.
• Understand why your body reacts the way it does under stress and learn practical ways to gently shift those patterns.
• Practise calming and grounding techniques that can be used while riding, caring for your horse, competing or navigating everyday life.
• Improve body awareness, breathing, mobility and balance to support greater comfort and more effective communication with your horse.
• Learn strategies to help reduce tension and discomfort that may impact your riding experience.
• Explore guided meditations, visualisations, breathwork and relaxation practices to support calmness, focus and better sleep quality.
• Build practical habits through repetition and learn how to integrate these tools into your daily routine, horse care and riding.
• Develop greater trust in yourself, your horse and your ability to respond to challenges with confidence and awareness.
• Create lasting changes that support calmness, comfort, mobility, connection and enjoyment — both in and out of the saddle.
Winter Rider Reset – Online Chair based Classes
Our 8 weeks online group class is helping riders feel more comfortable physically and mentally during New Zealand winter months
A gentle online movement and relaxation class using chair yoga, somatic exercises and body awareness practise, designed to support riders through the colder winter months.
These sessions help riders reduce stiffness and tension, improve mobility and balance, and create more ease and comfort in both daily life and riding.
Each class includes:
Gentle chair-based or standing movement
Somatic exercises for releasing tension and improving body awareness
Relaxation and breathing practices
Rider-focused guided relaxations and mindfulness exercises

1:1 Rider Confidence Reset sessions (unmounted)
Available online across NZ and Australia or onsite in Invercargill.
Rider Confidence Reset Calm your mind, rebuild trust in yourself and ride with more confidence, focus and ease. Many riders quietly struggle with fear, anxiety, tension or self-doubt — especially after a fall, stressful experience or loss of confidence. Often riders know how to ride, but their body and nervous system no longer feel safe, calm or relaxed in certain situations. Unlike traditional riding lessons, these sessions focus on the rider behind the riding. Using a gentle combination of rider-focused hypnotherapy, guided relaxation, visualisation and nervous system support techniques, we help riders calm overthinking, release tension patterns and rebuild confidence in a way that feels safe, supportive and sustainable. As riders become calmer and more regulated, horses often respond with greater relaxation, focus and trust as well — creating a softer and more connected riding experience for both horse and rider. Would you like to host a workshop with Britta at your club or facility?
We offer group workshops (supporting the riders body & mind for riding) for adult riders either onsite at equestrian centres or riding clubs, or online via zoom.
We can practise calming exercises, gentle rider warm up sequences, confidence meditations and provide information and support in understanding stress responses of the rider and how the co-regulation process between horse and rider works. Topics of workshops can be varied, depending on what you are interested in.
