My classes combine rider-specific yoga with somatic movement, mindfulness, breathwork and nervous system regulation. This holistic approach helps you improve not only your flexibility and strength but also your body awareness, focus and confidence—supporting greater Comfort, Confidence and Connection with your horse.
As both an Occupational Therapist and a Yoga Teacher, I understand how movement patterns, posture, pain and physical restrictions can affect your riding. This enables me to tailor exercises to your individual needs, helping you move with greater comfort, confidence and ease.

Britta's Equestrian Yoga with a Twist combines rider-specific yoga with somatic movement, mindfulness and body awareness, all taught within an equestrian context.
Every class is designed with the realities of a rider's lifestyle in mind. The exercises are practical, time-efficient and easy to incorporate into your routine—whether you're at home, at the stables or even at competitions.
My Equestrian Yoga with a Twist can be offered chair based ( if riders have less flexibility to get on and off the floor or if a chair based practise fits better into the daily routines and lifestyle requireents) or floor based on a mat.
The focus is on helping you develop a more balanced, centred seat, softer aids, improved body awareness and greater comfort, so you and your horse can move together with more ease and connection.

Do I need yoga experience?
No. This yoga for riders is beginner-friendly, and no previous yoga experience is required. Every exercise is explained clearly, and you're encouraged to work at your own pace.
Do I need to be flexible?
No. You work within your own body's limits and gradually improve your flexibility over time with regular practice. The goal isn't to achieve perfect poses—it's to help you move more comfortably and efficiently as a rider.
Is this suitable for beginners?

Can I do this if I don't currently ride?
Of course! Equestrian Yoga has many benefits, even if you're not currently riding. It can help prepare your body for future rides, improve your mobility and balance, and make everyday tasks around your horse easier and more comfortable.
How is this different from a general yoga class?
Everything is taught in an equestrian context, with a focus on the movements and challenges riders experience.
