Chair Yoga classes

We provide community based chair yoga classes on request. Chair yoga is suitable for everyone who would love to practise yoga but has restrictions in mobility, balance or due to a health condition. Our chair yoga is infused with other holistic modalities suitable to lower pain, reduce stress and to establish a calm and focused mindset.

per 45min

Travel cost apply if outside of Invercargill city.

We work with small group sizes as well as with larger group numbers.
The cost is per session, no matter if 5 people join the class or 30 people. 

We work mainly with elderly in Retirements Villages and also provide small, self funded, community based chair yoga classes in Invercargill.

All our sessions can be booked weekly, fortnightly or monthly
depending on your needs and individual circumstances.

Did you know this ?
A  lot of people who experience pain do not know ,
that learning to retrain your brain (nervous system) can reduce the stress chemicals
(e.g. Cortisol)  that are contributing to discomfort and tension within your body system.

And it is possible to simultaneously increase the release of the "Happy healing hormones"
such as  Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin and Endorphin.

Learn effective techniques and exercises  that help you becoming independent
in improving and maintaining your health & wellbeing

Different experiences, stressors and pain can impact and exacerbate each other.
Both pain and ongoing stress can lead to higher levels of stress hormones like cortisol in the system.
Higher levels of cortisol over a time of just days already impacts other functions in your system.
Your sleep, metabolism, mood, immune system, mental resilience, activity level, brain function etc cannot work properly under a constant "fight or flight" mode and leads to more stress and pain or other health issues.
The system is out of balance!

It is crucial to learn, how to manage and lower stress & pain by using a variety of techniques that suits your circumstances and needs. There is no "one size fits all", every woman is unique.

Stress and pain both need to be addressed, to achieve lasting results for a pain free and mobile body
